Software Test Engineer (Remote)

As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing a modern, risk-focused testing strategy to uphold the highest quality of our financial products across web, mobile, and GenAI platforms. You will join a collaborative team that leverages data-driven insights and automation to address complex quality challenges, streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce risks. Your goal will be to deliver exceptional user experiences for our members while minimizing manual testing efforts. Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute risk-based test plans for new features and functionality, selecting the most effective testing methods (e.g., scenario, exploratory, scripted, manual, or automated).
• Identify, analyze, and document issues uncovered during testing, providing detailed bug reports and partnering with developers to implement resolutions.
• Work closely with engineers to address coverage gaps, automate repetitive tasks, and expand regression test coverage.
• Serve as a trusted and approachable resource for feedback on new functionalities, features, and process improvements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on testing experience across application layers for mobile and web applications.
• Tools and Frameworks: 2-4 years of experience with industry-standard tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Development Lifecycle: Familiarity with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Test Artifacts: Proven ability to create comprehensive test artifacts, test plans, and supporting documentation.
• Observability Tools: Proficiency with observability and monitoring tools, such as Proxy tooling, Splunk, New Relic, and PagerDuty.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in usability, security, and risk-based testing strategies.
• Proficiency in data analytics and A/B testing methodologies.
• Exceptional attention to detail with excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical challenges succinctly and clearly.
