We are seeking an experienced and innovative Solution Architect to join our team. In this role, you will lead the design and development of complex e-commerce solutions on the Shopify platform. As a key advisor to our clients and internal teams, you’ll bridge the gap between technical requirements and business goals, ensuring successful implementations that drive measurable results. UK/Sweden preferred as a location. Remote or Finland is also a possibility.

Woolman has also assisted technology and service partners, such as payment service providers, in integrating with the Shopify platform. Our goal is to leverage the accumulated expertise and customer understanding over the years into products and services that support partners and customers on their digital commerce journey on the Shopify platform, such as Ellis, themes, and service platforms for payment service providers.

Key role Responsibilities

• Architect Solutions: Design scalable, efficient, and secure Shopify-based solutions tailored to the client’s needs and business goals.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality delivery.
• Client Collaboration: Act as a trusted technical advisor, understanding client requirements, proposing innovative solutions, and guiding decision-making.
• Integration Management: Oversee the integration of Shopify with third-party tools, APIs, and services, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
• Problem Solving: Address technical challenges with proactive and creative solutions, minimizing risk and ensuring project success.
• Documentation: Develop detailed solution architecture documentation, including technical specifications, workflows, and implementation plans.
• Team Alignment: Work closely with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in solution architecture including business processes such as product management, customer management, order management, inventory management and digital marketing
• Experience with B2B sales and POS solutions
• Proven track of record of working with complex cases for large consumer brands, retailers or multinationals.
• Experience within e-commerce. Shopify Plus ecosystem is a plus, including Liquid, and a solid understanding of APIs and systems integrations.
• Experience with front-end and back-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, or Ruby.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and modern software development practices.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex projects and multitask effectively.
• Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams.
• A track record of delivering successful e-commerce projects for large-scale or high-growth clients.
