Role Overview:

As an SQL Developer, you will be responsible for developing and managing SQL databases and writing complex SQL queries for data analysis and reporting. You will work closely with our development, data analysis, and operations teams to ensure efficient data flow and optimal performance. Your expertise in SQL and database management will be crucial in building robust and high-performance database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using SQL.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
• Design and maintain database structures, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with developers to design and optimize database schemas and queries.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Perform data migration, transformation, and data integration tasks.
• Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
• Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices.
• Develop and maintain database documentation and standards.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and data security policies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an SQL Developer in a dynamic development environment.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
• In-depth knowledge of database design, optimization, and administration.
• Experience with performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Understanding of data security and best practices.
• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud database services such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, or Google Cloud SQL.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases and technologies.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting.
• Experience with automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
