Position Description:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented person to drive our client engagement efforts at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The ideal candidate will sustain a sharp focus on value delivery for our client and be a committed expediter and consul, ensuring customer focus on business and technical agility. You will aim to deliver high-quality, customer-ready deliverables. You will be accountable for the successful capture of business value and execution of the project, as well as engage stakeholders and technical experts in challenging the status quo to simplify solutions. You will have the willingness to drive just enough planning to react to change and remain agile. You will remove structural impediments for tech teams, empower tech teams, and foster an inclusive team culture.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead agile teams working on modernizing and integrating efforts in the acquisition processes and budget portfolios
  • Act as the Scrum Master and facilitate agile ceremonies for the teams
  • Provide project and budget management subject matter expertise when needed
  • Have a demonstrated understanding of Human-Centered Design (HCD), Design Thinking, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) in the context of the services
  • Soft skills for managing customer and internal relationships
  • Demonstrated skills to be able to address and apply capabilities to meet customer requirements
  • Project management skills for tracking and executing a large number of interactions and milestones
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including a proven ability to explain complex digital concepts and technologies to senior business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists
  • Clear talent for building and developing relationships
  • Proven ability to effectively drive people, process, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment
  • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, and consulting skills


Required Qualifications:

  • A total experience of TEN years or more delivering, consulting, and other professional services to federal and private sector clients
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • FIVE years or more delivering service following Agile principles
  • FIVE years or more leading or managing a high-performing, cross-functional team (agency/in-house)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional education in Agile, HCD, & Design Thinking is desirable
