Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for an Sr. Android Developer at Mondaysys. The Android Developer will be responsible for mobile application development, Android design, software development, and creating innovative mobile applications. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and build advanced applications to meet the needs of our clients.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in professional Android app development.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
Expertise in Jetpack Compose and Android Jetpack libraries, including LiveData, ViewModel, and Navigation.
Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) for reusable, cross-platform code development.
Strong grasp of Android architectures such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, and SOLID principles.
Familiarity with popular libraries such as Retrofit, Dagger, and Glide.
UI/UX: Ability to design responsive and adaptive UIs for devices with varying screen sizes and resolutions.
Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows.
Testing: Experience writing unit tests, UI tests, and utilizing testing frameworks such as JUnit, Espresso, and MockK.
DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and Android deployment processes.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Development:

Design, build, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern development frameworks.
Develop reusable, cross-platform codebases using KMP for seamless performance on Android and iOS.
Build dynamic and responsive UI components that align with Android design principles.

Collaboration:

Partner with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend engineers, to define and implement new features.
Mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to development standards.

Performance Optimization:

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to improve app responsiveness and stability.
Debug and optimize apps using tools like Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, ADB, Logcat, and ProGuard.

Quality Assurance:

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Conduct code reviews and ensure robust testing, including unit testing and UI testing, integrated with CI/CD pipelines.

Innovation:

Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and technologies in mobile development.
Evaluate and incorporate relevant advancements into the project to enhance functionality and user experience.
