What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Design, build, and operate highly scalable APIs and full-stack solutions that affect millions of travelers
• Develop back-end features within a fast-paced, data-driven, and Agile product lifecycle
• Conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality standards and best practices
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to ensure alignment
• Participate in design discussions and mentor peers as needed

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Strong product thinking with a focus on customer quality
• Experience with or willingness to learn distributed system development in Scala
• Ability to build robust systems capable of handling large-scale transactions and users
• Natural drive to explore and resolve challenges in unknown codebases
• Passion for delivering high-quality software from concept to delivery

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Previous experience in back-end development within a technology-focused environment
• Familiarity with GCP and GKE for workload orchestration
• Knowledge of web technologies such as React and TypeScript
