Sr Bi Developer (Remote)

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge BI solutions while collaborating with other BI Tech Leads to create a unified execution strategy. You will manage multiple tasks and projects, balancing hands-on BI activities with strategic responsibilities. Your role will also involve supporting both legacy platforms and embracing new technologies. You will collaborate with a diverse IT team, including business analysts and project managers, to optimize technologies and solutions in a cross-functional, global environment.

Our Team

• The team supports BI solutions for the Containerboard business within the Packaging and Cellulose division at Georgia-Pacific.
• Currently, we have two technical resources based in the KGSI Bangalore office and are in the process of expanding the team in the U.S. and Guadalajara to provide better support during U.S. business hours (EST).

What You Will Do

• Design, develop and maintain BI Solutions for Containerboard business
• Partner and align with other BI Tech Leads to establish a shared execution vision, leveraging best practices from each team and developing cross team collaboration and sharing.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate simultaneous tasks/projects and hands on BI activities.
• Support legacy platforms, tools and commitments while embracing new gen platforms.
• Guide and mentor BI developers on a day-to-day basis and apply conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving.
• Experiment with new technologies and solutions, identifying ways we can use technology to create improved value for our customers.
• Implement BI and data solutions by working closely with Enterprise Architects, Data Architects, Data Governance, App/Dev & BI Leadership for alignment.
• Collaborate with a diverse and distributed IT team including business analysts, project managers, architects, developers, or vendors to create or optimize innovative technologies and solutions.
• Work with cross-functional teams, on-shore/off-shore, development/QA teams/Vendors in a matrixed environment for data delivery
• Ensure conformance and compliance using Georgia-Pacific data architecture guidelines and enterprise data strategic vision.
• Provide consultant support in analysis, solution design, and service delivery.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience in implementing multi-dimensional databases, cubes, and data warehouses using Microsoft BI technology stack using SQL, Stored Procedure Skills with SSIS, SSRS and SSAS experience.
• Experience in BI, data, and analytics with hands on implementation & architecture, developing BI/technology solutions in alignment with business objectives.
• Experience in visualization tools, such as PowerBI or Tableau
• Experience cross functional environment, team development & coaching.
• Be able to analyze large complex data sets to resolve data quality issues.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or Mathematics preferred.
• Experience working with enterprise data stores, data lakes, external data sources and APIs.
• Experience working/managing agile scrum projects with remote teams spread across the globe.
• Independent problem solver.
• Power BI – Semantic modelling and visualization.
