Sr Data Engineer Idmc (Remote)

Position Purpose:

will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of data integration solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various source systems into data warehouses or other data storage solutions.
• Define ETL architecture and standards, ensuring scalability, performance, and data quality.
• Optimize and fine-tune ETL processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Lead and mentor a team of ETL developers, providing guidance on best practices and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data across systems by implementing data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation processes.
• Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain high data quality standards.
• Monitor ETL processes and troubleshoot issues as they arise, implementing proactive measures to prevent future problems.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging ETL tools, technologies, and best practices, and recommend improvements to existing processes.
• Drive the adoption of automation and other innovative techniques to improve ETL efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Document ETL processes, workflows, and configurations for reference and training purposes.
• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations throughout the ETL process.
• Implement measures to protect sensitive data and ensure data security best practices are followed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6+years of experience in ETL development and data integration.
• Proven experience leading ETL projects and managing a team of developers.
• Strong proficiency in ETL tools (e.g., Informatica Power Center, IDMC, EDC..etc ) and SQL.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and database management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
