Position: Senior DevOps Engineer (Part-Time Freelance)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer version control systems like Git, and oversee repositories in GitHub, Bitbucket, and GitLab. Utilize Confluence and JIRA for documentation and project tracking.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, Travis CI, Bamboo, and Azure DevOps Pipelines. Automate build, test, and deployment processes to enhance productivity.
• Deploy and manage configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
• Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker, and orchestrate these applications with Kubernetes, AWS ECS, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Docker Swarm.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Templates, and Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Set up and manage monitoring and logging tools like Datadog with Kubernetes, ELK Stack, Prometheus with Grafana, Splunk, and New Relic.
• Configure and maintain web servers including Apache HTTP Server, Nginx, Microsoft Internet Information Service (IIS), Apache Tomcat, and IBM WebSphere.
• Proficiently work with Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems.
• Develop automation scripts and tools using Python, Java, Shell, and Bash.
• Manage and implement streaming and messaging solutions using Kafka, RabbitMQ, and MSMQ.
• Use build tools like Maven, Gradle, and Ant to automate the build processes.
• Oversee release management using tools such as Harness, Octopus Deploy, and ElectricFlow.
• Manage artifacts using JFrog Artifactory and Nexus Repository Manager.
• Configure and manage network components including TCP/IP, iptables, SSH, and DNS.
• Utilize AWS, Azure, and GCP services to support and enhance the DevOps processes.

• AWS Services: CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodeCommit, CodeStar, CodeArtifact, CodeGuru, EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFront, CloudWatch, CloudTrail. (Or)

• Azure Services: DevOps, Pipelines, Boards, Repos, Artifacts, Test Plans, Virtual Machines, AKS, Storage, SQL Database, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Monitor. (Or)

• GCP Services: Cloud Build, Cloud Source, Repositories, Deployment Manager, Cloud Code, Cloud Functions, Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Load Balancing, Monitoring, Logging, Artifact Registry, Container Registry.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
• Proficiency in the tools and technologies mentioned above.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
