Sr Field Application Engineer (Remote)

Reporting to the Sales Engineering Manager, EMEA, the Senior Sales Engineer will identify and develop opportunities working with complex IT solutions. Our award-winning products connect to and help network administrators manage new and existing IT infrastructure from a wide range of vendors. The ideal candidate will possess a broad technical background encompassing a wide variety of networking equipment. This individual will work out of their home office and travel to clients and events as required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Present interactive demonstrations tailored to customer requirements

• Take active technical ownership throughout all phases of customer evaluation and POCs

• Act as a trusted advisor and SME for customers during all stages of the sales cycle and beyond

• Design technical solutions that address customer needs

• Work collaboratively with sales, support and engineering to support new and existing customers

• Conduct technical research to resolve technical issues and identify workable solutions to existing challenges

• Participate in all aspects of the sales process including tradeshows and customer meetings

• Position will involve travel to client locations and sales events

Requirements/Qualifications

• Fluent in English and French Languages – other EMEA South languages (e.g. Spanish, Italian) would be a bonus

• Minimum 5 years IT solution-based sales engineering experience required

• Extensive hands-on experience with networking and IT infrastructure technologies, ideally including well-known vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, HP/Aruba, Fortigate, etc.

• Knowledge of network security requirements, including user authentication and firewall rules

• Network or Security certifications a plus

• Experience with Linux and open-source systems. Docker, Python scripting and network automation a plus

• Experience with 4G/LTE cellular technology would be beneficial

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
