Role Summary
The Senior ML Observability Engineer will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining systems to ensure robust monitoring, reporting, and evaluations of key processes. This role involves working with large datasets, leveraging advanced tools like BigQuery, and applying strong analytical skills to inform both business and technical decisions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in observability protocols, system scalability, and data handling, with optional experience in distributed systems and data science
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide visibility into system performance and business metrics using tools like BigQuery.
- Implement and optimize data logging and telemetry pipelines with a focus on scalability and reliability.
- Evaluate system health and performance using Open Telemetry Protocol (OTLP) to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure system reliability and business goal alignment.
- Provide actionable insights to inform business and technical decisions based on data-driven analysis.
- [Optional] Utilize skills in distributed systems, telemetry, and data science to enhance observability frameworks.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Must possess strong analytical and data-handling skills to work effectively with complex datasets.
- Familiarity with tools and technologies, including:
- Databases: Pinecone, MongoDB, BigQuery
- Programming and Frameworks: Python, Git
- Observability Tools: Open Telemetry Protocol (OTLP)
4.[Optional] Experience in distributed systems, distributed telemetry, and data science is a plus.

7-Day Goal
- Create an initial MLOps Dashboard using Bolt, incorporating key reports and insights for product analysis.
- Familiarize yourself with the products, tools, platforms, and codebase.
- Start working on assigned tasks immediately—velocity is key, and we highly value your ability to learn and deliver results quickly.
30-Day Goal
- Design an enhanced version of the MLOps Dashboard to provide advanced analytics and detailed reporting capabilities.
- Focus on the North Star goal identified in the last sprint.
- Actively engage in coding tasks, contributing meaningful and measurable value to our products.
- Design and deliver at least one dashboard or report that provides actionable insights.
90-Day Goal
- Establish robust monitoring systems for key business and technical metrics.
- Contribute to the design of a scalable and reliable observability framework.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve system performance and business outcomes.
- Take on increased responsibility and present innovative ideas for product improvement.
- Successfully deliver impactful work over three sprints, demonstrating your ability to improve efficiency and output.
- Evolve into a 10x programmer—delivering smarter, faster, and more impactful results that drive the team and products forward.
Work Environment
This role is fully remote, providing the flexibility to collaborate effectively from anywhere.
