About the job
Our Amazfit brand is seeking a passionate and experienced Product Manager to lead the development of wearable technology designed to enhance athletic performance and the outdoor experience. The ideal candidate is a sports enthusiast with a deep understanding of specific athletic disciplines, such as running, cycling, golf, strength training, or snowsports. Or, the candidate will have a deep understanding of mapping experiences for outdoor pursuits like hiking or backcountry exploration. You will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond. This is a collaborative role with the Business Segment, and you must be able to interface effectively and establish credibility with Engineering, Core Management team, Sales, and Marketing Communications associates.
Product Strategy:
- Identify market opportunities and define the target audience for our wearable products.
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy in key sports verticals, aligned with the company’s vision and market trends.
Product Development:
- Co-develop product roadmaps to meet the product and business strategy.
- Define product requirements, features, and user experience.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to bring new features to market.
- Guide the product through the development process, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of product prototypes.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to execute go-to-market strategy, product messaging, and sales/marketing materials.
- Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment.
What You’ll Need:
- Deep Passion for Sports: 3+ years of progressive consumer marketing or product experience in one or more key sports, with a deep understanding of athlete needs and pain points. Ideally, background as a semi-pro or pro athlete, or as a training professional.
- Product Management Experience: Formal experience in product management of consumer-focused products, ideally in the wearable tech or sports industry.
- Technical Acumen: An understanding of the relevant technologies that enables effective collaboration with technical development teams.
- Strong Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze data and draw insights to inform product decisions.
- Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively, whether for a technical or non-technical audience.
- Strong Leadership Skills: The ability to lead across multi-disciplined, multi-national teams to drive projects to completion.
- A Hands-On Approach: Eagerness to get involved in all aspects of product development, from ideation to launch.
