Your mission as Sr. Program Manager, Care Operations, will be to lead strategic initiatives that drive transformational value and impact for our care team and members. This role reports to the VP of Care Operations, and will be responsible for building critical infrastructure and driving significant operational improvements during a period of rapid growth and scaling.

This cross-functional role involves close collaboration with internal teams such as Coaching, Product/Design, and AI/Analytics, to ensure projects deliver measurable impact against key business goals. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, detail-oriented executor, and an excellent communicator with a proven track record of managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership and Project Management: Lead end-to-end execution of strategic initiatives to support Clinical/Coaching Operations, including planning, development, deployment, and measurement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams such as Coaching, Product, and Analytics, to align priorities, define deliverables, and ensure seamless integration of operational pilots, programs, and processes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for initiative stakeholders such as Coach leaders, providing regular updates, identifying roadblocks, and facilitating solutions to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities and lead experiments to streamline workflows, improve quality and efficiency, and enhance member outcomes within Coach Operations.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data and insights to guide strategic planning, prioritize initiatives, and measure the success of pilots and programs.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed program documentation, timelines, and reports to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned on progress.
  • Change Management: Support key product and process changes, including care model changes and development of new services and programs, with clear communications that cascade through all levels of the organization.
  • Scale Culture: Seek opportunities to reinforce team culture and values in every initiative both in the development/setup and outcome/product. Drive mindset of continuous improvement.

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience in healthcare or related industry, preferably in a high growth or startup environment.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects from conception to completion.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive alignment across diverse teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding and experience of healthcare operations and systems is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPH) is a plus.

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
