Position Overview

As a Project Manager at A-BIO, you will lead various complex projects within the biopharmaceutical sector. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle from conception through operational readiness, ensuring projects are executed successfully and aligned with client and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management and Execution:

• Plan and manage capital projects inclusive of design, construction, automation, CQV, and operational readiness
• Develop effective strategies to ensure client requirements are met and the project is executed successfully
• Develop and oversee project scope, schedule, budget, risk registers, resources, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with project objectives
• Lead project teams through all aspects of project delivery
• Foster productive relationships with project sponsors, clients, vendors, and internal teams. Act as the primary liaison between all parties to ensure clear communication and project alignment
• Coordinate with vendors to design and deliver equipment, overseeing the equipment receiving process and installation
• Develop procurement packages, including pre-qualifications, requests for proposals, scope of services, bid evaluations, etc.
• Develop project budgets
• Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies and escalating critical concerns to appropriate stakeholders as necessary
• Ensure compliance with industry-specific standards and regulations
• Monitor and report on project progress, financial performance, and key metrics to client leadership and stakeholders
• Manage client relationships to create a positive experience and foster future business opportunities
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert where applicable, including project management practices and technical focus areas
• Continue development of your expertise in critical areas such as capital project management, validation life cycles, quality/regulatory compliance, and client management
• Engage in ongoing learning within the life sciences to remain at the cutting edge of our industry and proactively deliver your projects as a technical project manager

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering or operations experience in a cGMP-regulated industry
• Minimum of 5 years in a project management role within biopharma industry
• Demonstrated application of project management methodologies and principles
• Ability to manage and integrate technical and non-technical projects of various sizes and complexity
• Highly skilled in managing complexity
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional efforts and teams
• Ability to review and interpret design documents and engineering documents
• Willingness and ability to travel based on project location
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills
• Strong computer skills such as: MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
• Strong interpersonal skills
