We are looking for a Sr. Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to join our Global Electrical Innovation & Retrofits team to develop and execute complex electrical power system upgrades across North American and Latin American geographies. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a deep understanding of electrical power systems with demonstrated experience in strategy, design, construction, and maintenance.

Key job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel up to 60% of the time
  • Develop and oversee the design and execution of retrofit solutions for the upgrades of low voltage and medium voltage electrical distribution systems at existing facilities.
  • Accelerate the deployment of sustainable electrical resiliency solutions (BESS; Hydrogen; Wind; Solar; Nuclear)
  • Conduct complex equipment failure investigations and provide mitigation solutions.
  • Develop and improve installation; commissioning; and inspection processes, including audit practices, related to electrical systems.
  • Perform program estimates and financial return on investment calculations
  • Secure funding and oversee a portfolio of programs focused on improving electrical reliabiltiy
  • Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years of electrical power distribution engineering experience
  • Experience using power systems design and analysis software
  • Knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing portfolio of programs with $10MM-$50MM in value
  • Experience developing electrical infrastructure programs
  • Experience working in high hazard processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • Experience with software development and platform implementation.
  • Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot electronic production processes.
  • Strong project/team management capabilities.
  • Able to problem solve and troubleshoot as the need arises.
  • Experience managing portfolio of programs with $50MM-$100MM in value

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
