We already drive 5% of our wallet partners’ transacting users, and our mission is to drive 5% of all onchain GDP. Our founders have been working together in crypto for five years and on Daylight for two years, and we are backed by top tier funds like USV. We work on hard and interesting scaling and data problems, and we get to help everyone in crypto: from users to wallets to protocols to chains to creators.

Working with us

We are looking for two staff backend engineers with deep experience designing and scaling REST APIs. Our API serves tens of thousands of requests per second, summarizing millions of rows of offchain data and terabytes of onchain data in 750ms or less.

The problems we work on are meat-and-potatoes software engineering: writing code understandable to others; optimizing Postgresql queries; tracing code paths for bottlenecks; getting the most out of AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Own and design backend REST APIs for usability and for scale
• Build and manage a team of backend engineers
• Build clean, maintainable, and well-tested backend code

Projects you may work on:

• Build the Daylight API – a robust, scalable, and developer-friendly API that the biggest crypto apps and wallets use
• Engineer Daylight’s integrations system, a service that ingests into Daylight transactions across many transaction creation tools like Zora and Boosts

You have:

• Deep experience with modern backend technologies like Node.js, Typescript, AWS, and Postgres
• 5+ years at tech startups with millions of DAUs
• Appetite to work on complex products with autonomy and creative freedom
• Experience designing and building out programmatic APIs
• Experience maintaining highly available infrastructure
