Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership: Steer the engineering team by influencing architectural decisions, championing best coding practices, and nurturing a culture of technical excellence.
• Innovate swiftly: Assist the team in rapidly iterating and experimenting with new concepts while avoiding technical stagnation.
• Problem-solving: Identify technical hurdles proactively and devise strategic, impactful solutions.
• Process enhancement: Aid in establishing efficient engineering methodologies, including code reviews, testing protocols, and comprehensive documentation.
• Mentorship: Foster the growth of team members through technical direction, constructive feedback, and consistent code evaluations.
• Knowledge sharing: Ensure that all technical processes, decisions, and insights are well-documented and circulated within the team and beyond.

Required Skills

• Expertise in front-end technologies such as TypeScript and React.
• Strong background in Node.js for backend development.
• Extensive experience with JavaScript, complemented by over 10 years of programming practice.
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficient in establishing team processes such as code reviews and testing protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a collaborative spirit.
• Strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of hands-on programming experience.
• Proven ability to manage and maintain live web services while effectively troubleshooting any arising issues.
• Experience in developing distributed systems from initial requirements to successful project execution.
