Job Description

Experian Consumer Service (ECS) is looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic and Agile development organization, supporting the Experian Consumer Services North America division. ECS is focused on empowering consumers to take charge of their credit and protect their identity. If you are passionate about empowering people, interested in cutting-edge technology, and want to stay informed about relevant technology trends and developments and build the next-generation technology platform, the ECS team wants to talk to you! This is a remote role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design and implement programs
  • Assesses the health and performance of applications
  • Provides appropriate research support to business groups within the organization with guidance from tech leads
  • Effectively document technical designs and concepts
  • Define specifications
  • Provides guidance to non-technical staff in using software and hardware systems most effectively and efficiently
  • Reviews project proposals, evaluates alternatives with guidance from tech leads, provides estimates and makes recommendations
  • Ensures software solution integrity, monitors system performance, and performs metrics measuring and reporting
  • Demonstrates a solid foundation in programming skills
  • Demonstrates a solid foundation in software architecture
  • Code follows team and department standards
  • You will provide guidance on secure coding and follow secure coding standards


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology Engineering or Computer
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the offered position or position in Software Engineering and Cloud Computing Software Development
  • Strong experience with Application development in a multi-platform environment, quality control and testing
  • Strong experience with AWS (preferred AWS certification)
  • Strong experience with AWS technologies such as DynamoDB, S3 and Lambda serverless technology
  • Strong Experience with Java and Spring framework and web services
  • Preferred experience in developing GraphQL APIs.
  • Strong experience with tools such as Git, Jenkins, deployments using Docker
  • Hands-on experience with event-based system processing such as Kafka
  • Development experience with SQL and NoSQL
  • You have a lot of experience with microservice concepts and implementation
  • Your experience includes systems design and architecture
  • You are very experienced in application security
  • Ability to work in a flexible, e-commerce environment
  • Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners
  • Experience with innovation
