DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:The primary responsibility of this role is to act as a liaison between the National FFA Organization and state FFA associations in the Eastern area-Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio), offering guidance and fostering collaborative partnerships. Key duties include coordinating with state leaders to assess their needs, providing technical support, and facilitating clear communication between state associations and national FFA staff. This role will support the implementation of programs and instructional materials that enhance local and state initiatives. The position ensures effective coordination, aligning national resources with the specific needs of state-level FFA programs.
Essential Functions, Skills And Abilities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with state leaders and local teachers, acting as a liaison and support contact for FFA staff to ensure smooth communication and service delivery.
- Stay informed on trends within agricultural education and FFA programs to effectively support ongoing initiatives.
- Collaborate with state leaders to understand their initiatives and specific needs to provide appropriate support and resources.
- Coordinate and manage projects from inception to completion, utilizing needs assessments, content development, collaboration, and distribution to ensure project success.
- Facilitate communication and foster collaborative relationships between state leaders, teachers, and FFA colleagues to ensure alignment and support.
- Prepare and submit reports summarizing travel, communications, and key information shared between states and the national organization.
- Assist with budget tracking to ensure financial responsibilities are met, adhering to established guidelines.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal, listening, written, verbal communication, and project coordination skills.
- Interact with, influence, and collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring responsiveness and professionalism.
- Effectively prioritize and organize tasks, utilizing time-management skills to handle multiple responsibilities.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while problem-solving and analyzing information.
- Demonstrate computer proficiency and handle routine communication, including phone calls.
- Comfortably speak in front of small and large groups, facilitating discussions and trainings as needed.
- Provide training to stakeholders using approved National FFA materials and methods to ensure consistency and quality.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Requirements
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in agricultural education required. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
5-7 years of related educational experience or extensive state or national staff experience.
