Job Description
Applicants must have immediate and relevant experience in Solar EPC to qualify for the role of State Sales Head.
The State Sales Head will drive our solar EPC projects across their designated state, developing and executing sales strategies to expand our market presence and convert promising leads into active solar projects. With autonomy in decision-making and a sales-linked incentive plan, the ideal candidate will combine hands-on experience with a strategic vision. Key responsibilities include:
- Market Penetration: Design and implement a targeted sales strategy, leveraging industry networks to identify, pursue, and convert leads into EPC contracts.
- Pipeline Management: Build and nurture a pipeline of B2B and B2C clients while maintaining relationships with local stakeholders, influencers, and decision-makers.
- Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasting and regular updates to leadership, including data-driven insights to support future growth.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing state-level sales team to help us achieve ambitious revenue targets.
- Client Relationship Management: Ensure smooth and ongoing customer service and support, nurturing strong relationships for long-term client retention.
Qualifications
- 5-9 years of experience in solar EPC sales, with demonstrated success in a senior role.
- Strong understanding of the solar industry, renewable energy market dynamics, and state-specific regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets in a sales-driven environment.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven startup environment.
