Structural engineer

To continue our growth as a significant and leading consulting group in southern and eastern of Norway, we are looking for structural engineers to join our team in Kristiansand. We are working alongside our customers on some of Norway’s most significant and interesting projects within hospitals, airports, data centers, infrastructure, apartment buildings, rehabilitation projects and more.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Structural analysis and design of steel, concrete and timber constructions, on local, national and international building projects. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Collaborate with architects, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. Participate in project meetings and provide technical knowladge.
• Discipline Lead in smaller or larger projects

On top of that, you will have:

• University degree in civil engineering (B.Sc./M.Sc.) with minimum 3 years of professional experience
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and BIM-tools (Revit, FEM-design or similar) and good knowledge of building codes and standards.
• Effective problem-solving and analytical skills and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Have good communication skills in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.

COWI has customers and projects that may require security clearance at various levels. There may therefore be requirements for security clearance in some projects/positions.
