The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for execution for the Valvoline Mexico team. This person will work with 3rd parties, logistics providers, and other partners to ensure optimal customer service and an efficient supply chain.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Manage import/export processes with customs brokers and logistics providers ensuring documentation and costs are appropriate, compliant, and accurate. In addition, tracks NAFTA savings on imports into Mexico where applicable
- Ensure Purchase Orders to 3rd Party Manufacturers & Valvoline intercompany orders are appropriate balancing demand and inventory goals. Enter all replenishment orders for supply decisions at the Raloy warehouse timely for customer orders
- Support local logistics by developing cost efficient and competitive carriers and coordinating national pickups and deliveries to our customers.
- Provide Valvoline and vendors with quarterly performance reports and KPIs
- Process supplier invoices and freight costs in SAP, manage workflow of invoices with accounts payables team
- Responsible for initiating, tracking and solving non-conformance reports on all service failures and capturing corrective actions.
- Support marketing and sales with indirect purchasing (includes SAP vendor setup and maintenance, issuing purchase orders, and posting receipts) within Mexico
- External communications with customers and vendor partners
- Internal communications with technical teams, supply chain teams, sales/marketing, and customer service teams
- Manages import and export compliance with customs on imports to Mexico with global trade team. Responsible care and inventory management execution with 3rd parties.
What You’ll Need
- This role will be based out of Guadalajara, Mexico. It will be in office Tuesday-Thursday each week.
Education Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Technical degree
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations or similar roles
What Will Set You Apart
- APICS certifications a plus
- In depth knowledge of Logistics and Importing
- Strong commitment to customer service
- Excellent Communication Skills (Bilingual English and Spanish a plus)
- Strong Analytical Skill Set
- Ability to identify and solve problem areas
- SAP and Transportation Management Software experience preferred.
