Senior Carbon Engineer/ Manager Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Carbon Engineer/ Manager to join one of the UK’s leading construction and engineering solutions company on a long term contract basis. This is a remote role, contract Security Clearance required or Ability to obtain it and is Outside of Scope of IR35 As a Senior Carbon Engineer/Manager your role is to lead the delivery of a comprehensive carbon management system on a significant infrastructure project. The role is integral to ensuring the project aligns with PAS2080 standards, focusing on carbon reduction, innovation, and embedding sustainable best practices. Key Responsibilities: Establish and manage a PAS2080-compliant carbon management system across a large, multi-disciplinary infrastructure project. Coordinate the development of a project carbon baseline and drive the delivery of reduced carbon forecasts. Support the project delivery team in embedding and promoting sustainable practices across all operations. Identify and evaluate carbon reduction opportunities and work closely with stakeholders to implement them. Review and assure all carbon-related project deliverables, ensuring they align with broader sustainability goals. Support the audit process to maintain compliance with PAS2080 standards. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in carbon management, with ideally 7+ years of industry experience. Strong background in whole-life carbon quantification and implementing a PAS2080 Carbon Management System. Proficient in tracking and reporting on sustainable opportunities. Degree qualified, with a preference for candidates who are Chartered (CEnv, CEng, IStructE, MechE, or equivalent). Robust understanding of construction and engineering principles. Security Clearance required (or the ability to obtain it).
