Job Overview:
The Senior VP of Global eCommerce will drive the global vision and strategy for the eCommerce channel across our brands, focusing on achieving crucial growth objectives. This role oversees the comprehensive eCommerce customer experience, shaping the strategic vision for how eCommerce integrates with the overall brand ecosystem, commercial strategy, customer journey, and online growth. As a new role to Tactacam, this person will have the unique opportunity to influence the growth of this team from the ground up, developing new processes, establishing platforms, and building partnerships to support the company’s digital transformation efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive eCommerce strategy, driving growth through direct-to-consumer channels, Amazon, and global marketplaces.
- Manage end-to-end eCommerce processes, with accountability for website development, UX, and site conversion, ensuring an optimized customer experience.
- Oversee Tactacams Magento-based platform, leveraging its capabilities to maximize efficiency and user engagement.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales and marketing, to ensure seamless integration of eCommerce within the broader retail strategyfocusing primarily on the digital space while leaving brick-and-mortar strategy to other departments.
- Lead and mentor the eCommerce team, with responsibilities across site development, UX, and analytics, to build a scalable, customer-centric platform.
- Drive accountability for growth goals, potentially partnering with finance to develop a proforma for tracking revenue and expenses within the eCommerce channel.
- Develop promotional strategies and site-specific initiatives, maximizing online traffic, conversion rates, and sales performance across regions (USA, Canada, UK, Europe).
- Utilize data-driven insights and eCommerce analytics to continuously optimize the eCommerce channel, identifying new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive advantages.
- Ensure alignment with Amazons ecosystem (Vendor Central, Seller Central, Prime, and advertising programs) while managing commercial projects and enhancing vendor capabilities.
- Set and achieve revenue targets, working closely with business leaders to identify high-growth opportunities and develop strategies for sustained success.
- Act as a key stakeholder in Tactacams global digital transformation efforts, with the opportunity to build processes, establish platforms, and form new partnerships.
- Partner with the marketing team to support eCommerce growth through relevant content (e.g., SEO) and funnel optimization, while excluding broader digital marketing responsibilities, which remain with specialized teams.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience leading high-growth eCommerce initiatives, with proven experience in global eCommerce leadership roles.
- Expertise in managing eCommerce platforms, including Magento (required), and driving UX, web development, and site conversion.
- Proven track record of building and scaling direct revenue eCommerce businesses of $100M+.
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, aligning eCommerce initiatives with broader company goals and sales strategies.
- Demonstrated expertise in eCommerce analytics, data-driven decision-making, and leveraging insights to drive growth.
- Experience in channel marketing, with a strong focus on digital-first strategies that support eCommerce across Amazon, direct-to-consumer, and emerging platforms.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale eCommerce initiatives, including managing teams in a high-growth environment.
