Responsibilities
– Our newest opportunity is for a talented Systems Assurance Manager , seconded to our Client from government sector in Doha, Qatar.
– You will manage the Systems Assurance (including Safety, RAM, Fire & Life Safety integration and EMC safety related issues) activities , with the focus on the delivery of Clients’s Long Distance projects in accordance with Clients System Assurance requirements, in order to ensure the delivery of an integrated Railway network fit for acceptance by Client and the Safety Regulatory Authority within the Ministry of Transport (MoT).
We envisage success in this role to include;
– Setting out the Systems Assurance framework and requirements for the Long Distance projects delivery in accordance with the applicable Safety Regulations, Standards and Company Policies.
– Ensuring that the Systems Assurance framework is followed for the delivery of the projects throughout the project Life Cycle, in order to meet the Systems Assurance Requirements for the respective projects.
– Supervising and monitoring the Systems Assurance activities including the Contractor’s submissions and their review as required to comply with the System Assurance Requirements, the Hazard Log Management process and Hazard Review Panel coordination, the integration between the Contractors and/or Third Parties into the Safety Management process, the production of the Network Engineering Safety Cases and obtention of ISA No Objection and Safety Acceptance of the Infrastructure Safety Cases.
Requirements:
– To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10+ years of relevant experience partnered with a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical degree essential.
– Proven experience in a similar System Assurance role in large scale Rail projects with Civil, MEP and System background, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
– A good working background of Rail Industry including experience in RAMS and acceptance / approval processes is essential, minimum 10 years.
– Thorough knowledge of Common Safety Methods and EN50126, EN50128, EN50129 and EN61508 is essential.
– Knowledge of software (safety critical systems related) would be a distinct advantage.
