    About the Role

     

    Ring in the New Year with a New and Exciting opportunity! Lead a dynamic team of Senior Case Managers and Claims Specialists and make a significant impact in how we manage Early-Intervention/Front End Work Cover claims. As our Team Manager, you will be at the forefront of providing a top-tier claims management to injured workers and employers. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding your team to success through effective workflow and people management.

     

    At Gallagher Bassett (GB), our Front-End claims teams are dedicated to managing Workers Compensation claims between 0-52 weeks post-injury. Your team will play an important role in supporting effective claims handline and assisting Injured Workers in their Return to Work journeys. As a Team Manager, you will directly influence your team’s daily operations, upskill and mentor your team members, and implement innovative strategies to continuously enhance our claims management function.

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities:

     

    • Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients to facilitate effective claims management discussions.
    • Workflow Management: Oversee your team’s daily workflow to ensure efficient output and maintain high client service standards.
    • Leadership and Coaching: Provide engaging leadership, coaching, and feedback on technical, business, and performance-related issues.
    • Skill Development: Collaborate with the Branch Manager to identify skill gaps and assist in upskilling your team.
    • Team Morale: Foster a team-oriented culture focused on achievement and service excellence.
    • Mentorship: Encourage creativity, risk-taking, and continuous improvement through mentoring and coaching.
    • Service Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in claims handling services and implement strategies to meet business and WorkSafe requirements.

     

    Qualifications

    What we’re looking for:

     

    • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a People Manager role with outstanding leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, or an up-and coming future leader ready to take on their first people leader role.
    • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Workers Compensation legislation and the Eligibility process.
    • Client Management: Experience in client management and engagement.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills with all levels of staff and external parties.
    • Conflict Resolution: Strong conflict resolution abilities.
    • Time Management: Exceptional time management skills.
    • Qualifications: Industry specific or other relevant tertiary qualifications in Allied Health, business, Occupational Rehabilitation or a related field.
