Job Description

Nerder is seeking a seasoned Tech Lead / Senior Full Stack Developer with deep technical expertise and the ability to manage and direct projects effectively. This role blends leadership with hands-on coding, requiring someone who can embrace innovation, leverage emerging tools (like AI), and deliver projects faster, better, and more cost-effectively.

As a key leader, you’ll guide a dynamic team of development resources, ensuring projects are executed smoothly from planning through to QA. You’ll jump into the codebase when needed—solving complex problems, delivering critical features, and setting a high standard for quality and performance. With multiple offshore teams in place, you’ll also take charge of project setup, creating detailed development briefs, and maintaining the quality standards Nerder is known for.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor developers, overseeing project deliverables and code quality.
Project Leadership: Plan, organize, and monitor projects by setting milestones, creating dev briefs, and ensuring QA standards are met.
Innovation and Efficiency: Leverage emerging technologies, including AI tools, to optimize workflows and deliver value to clients.
Development: Build custom components and web applications using modern frameworks like React, Tailwind, etc.
Client Communication: Provide expert advice, manage expectations, and maintain clear, professional communication.
QA Oversight: Perform quality assurance to ensure outputs meet or exceed standards.
Collaboration: Work with designers, developers, and QA specialists in an agile environment to create seamless web solutions.
Continuous Learning: Stay ahead of trends, suggest new tools and frameworks, and share insights with the team.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: 8+ years of building web-based solutions and applications in LAMP stack and Jamstack environments.

Technical Expertise

Skilled in PHP and open-source technologies typically used in the LAMP stack.
CMS expertise, including WordPress (building themes, plugins, custom post types, etc). Familiarity with Craft CMS is a plus.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and relational databases.
Comfortable with Git version control (repos, branches, pull requests).
Knowledge of CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS) and frameworks (Tailwind CSS).
Solid experience with Jamstack architecture
Proficiency in JavaScript and related frameworks/platforms (React, Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, etc).
Hosting and deployment to Vercel or Netlify
Headless CMS experience with Contentful, Sanity and other systems is a plus.
