This global organisation’s primary business is the manufacture and supply of water-soluble polymers, organic coagulants and technical consultancy. They are equipped to serve a wide variety of industries and with Australian manufacturing plants, can do this swiftly. Along with a professional ethos and the highest environmental commitment, this organisation can provide a platform for you to join a highly diverse team and provide opportunities to develop your career. This position is based in Melbourne and is responsible for the development of sales, technical support and all account management responsibilities for existing customers and potential customers. You will achieve sales growth by identifying new applications within existing customers, from new customers using competition products and also green field projects. The customers are formulators, resellers and specialty product consumers. There will be national travel for the role.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop sales through effective communication of the value of dealing with the client including their price, technical backup and manufacturing strengths.
- Maintain the current sales base to existing customers.
- Work with other staff in developing business as part of a team in selected target accounts.
- Sell products at approved prices and aim to achieve the highest price possible understanding the value of your offering to the application and customer.
- Establish networks with Industry Associations that allow networking within the target industries.
- Develop relationships with existing customers and potential customers to sell our product against competition products and also target new projects at start-up stage within the roles scope of markets, industries and geography.
To be successful, you will have:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or Bachelor of Science
- Background in chemistry, laboratory or instrumentation desirable
- Ability to build new business
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
- Tender building and negotiation skills
- Background in technical sales or strong commercial accumen
- Project management and coordination experience
What’s in it for me?
You will receive a salary up to $125k base plus car, super and tools of trade. You will be well supported by your manager who previously held the position and wants to support you to strive for success. Bonus of up to 20% of your base salary is also on offer.
