Your Role and Responsibilities

You will explore and apply industry leading deployment models, processes, and tools, while helping to push the boundaries of healthcare IT in new and exciting directions. Through automated provisioning, containerization, and cloud you will create dynamic solutions that fit our continually evolving needs.

Assisting our customer IT departments throughout North America will ensure smooth operation and continuity of service. Planning and aiding in deployment, diagnostics and issue resolution, and documenting outcomes will be crucial in meeting our goals of outstanding customer experience.

Creation and execution of deployment testing strategies will provide assurance of product reliability and scalability, preparing us to deliver products and services to some of the busiest and largest clinical settings in the world.

Your collaboration with teammates at Cohesic will enable the design and implementation of utilities and services that enable successful growth of the organization, while helping to expand our customer base.

Required Background and Expertise for Success in This Role

· Minimum 5 years work experience in IT or related field

· Demonstrable problem-solving skills and self-proficiency

· Strong Linux experience, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and 9

· Effective communication skills, able to interact with co-workers and customers at varying technical levels of discourse

· Flexible mindset with ability to thrive under pressure in periods where required for internal or external projects

· Proven ability to work as part of a technical team to provide analysis and deliver on components to help improve our infrastructure

· Experience with systems management tools, such as Ansible and Terraform

· Comfortable with virtual machines and containerization

· Working knowledge of SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL

· Ability to work in a regulated industry, with an understanding of the associated challenges

· Authorization to work in Canada (or in country of residence if remote)

Additional Preferred Expertise

· Certification in Linux systems management, IT security, or other relevant areas

· Bachelor of Information Technology or related technical degree

· Security/systems hardening experience

· Familiarity with high-availability and disaster recovery methods and systems

· Experience with Windows server and Workstation management

· Systems scripting experience with Bash and Python

· Familiarity with modern web-based application development & deployment

· Practiced in providing technical support, preferably customer-facing

Location

• Calgary AB, Canada. Fully remote locations are possible, but must be able to accommodate overlap with business hours in the Mountain Time zone

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
