Technical Product Manager – EHR Integrations – Profitable Health Tech Startup

Location: Remote

The company’s product is in the realms of healthcare, SaaS, and B2B2C. The product is used by clinics and hospitals to improve the quality of care for their patients.

The company has about 180 employees, 60 engineers, and 4 product managers.

The company will pay a salary up to $180k, up to $20k in yearly bonuses, and equity which could be valuable. There are also opportunities for frequent raises, with performance reviews every 6 months.

Job Responsibilities:

– Working on a team with 5 other Product Managers.

– Leading and managing the product lifecycle for EHR integrations with major systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, eClinicalWorks (eCW), and athenahealth.

– Developing and executing a strategic roadmap for EHR integrations which align with company objectives and customer needs.

– Collaborating with the engineering and implementation teams to design and build integration solutions that enhance data exchange, usability, and reliability across all platforms.

– Driving product enhancements by gathering and prioritizing requirements, conducting market and customer research, and analyzing the competitive landscape.

– Ensuring integrations meet compliance and security standards within the healthcare industry (e.g., HIPAA).

– Working closely with customer success and sales teams to understand customer pain points, providing guidance and solutions to improve customer satisfaction.

– Acting as the subject matter expert for EHR integration capabilities, providing insights and recommendations to internal teams and stakeholders.

– Monitoring and analyzing integration performance, identifying areas for improvement and driving initiatives to increase efficiency.

– Communicating product vision, goals, and progress to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

– A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

– Proficient in SQL.

– 3-5+ years of experience in product management in healthcare technology with a focus on EHR integrations.

– At least 3 years of professional experience doing EHR integrations with Cerner, Epic, eClinicalWorks (eCW), Meditech, and/or athenahealth.

– Proven experience leading integration projects in a cross-functional team environment.

– Deep understanding of healthcare workflows, interoperability, and EHR standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

– Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to product management and decision-making.

– Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

– Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA compliance.
