• 3-5 years PM Experience as a technical PM, working in datacenter and networking with demonstrated ability to organize and manage project scope, schedules, quality, and communication with cross-functional teams.

Job Description

Our client is looking for a technical project manager to drive ongoing projects of their end-to-end infrastructure, application development, and support services. This group is comprised of three pillars, including threat intelligence, security operations, and product assurance. They run segregated infrastructures to manage sensitive data handling and application hosting. For example, there are regulatory requirements such as the international traffic in arms agreement, export control regulation, classified information handling regulations, that they have to handle in a very special way, and segregated infrastructures help them to comply. Today, they focus on gathering data about threats through users’ behavior and activities via web hosting services and security services. i

This team is responsible for protecting the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information and computing assets, while enabling business productivity. They are designed to employ a proactive approach to data privacy and protection and are focused on operationalizing security and driving secure innovation for the entire enterprise. These teams are responsible for reducing the company’s risk by consistently reviewing the technologies, tools and processes for capturing and containing attacks. They also constantly looks to mature the infrastructure to account for new threats and expanded network capabilities.

Job Description:

• Help drive process and better efficiencies within datacenter and networking projects and across multiple groups and cross-functional teams
• Work with a centralized group of architects, developers, engineers and other project/program managers
• Assist with the management and coordination of external audits and engagements
• Keep track of the work of the internal team projects, such as patching and operations tasks
• Utilize Scrum process and Agile methodologies to facilitate projects
• Use JIRA as the project management tool, utilizing the Service Desk module to interface with clients.
• Be prepared to drive priority projects while being flexible when prioritization needs change
• Create Change Requests for work and coordinate project plans.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain detailed work plan and drive work execution of technical projects (networking, datacenter, application development, and systems automation)
• Communicate and review work assignments with team
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure proper strategy, plan, alignment, integration and visibility.
• Maintain visibility on day-to-day activities with project teams and ensuring sufficient face-time with key executive stakeholders.
• Manage and proactively escalate project issues and risks
• Provide status reporting to internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Independently audit/validate that project deliverables, project action items, issues, etc, in an effort to meet client expectations.
• Support the Program Management group for project/program reporting to senior leadership. PM needs to have more than basic PM skills, ex) next level thinkers who can look at something and communicate more of the programmatic, what’s happening” at this level. Understand the challenges and risks the team/project is facing, Should be able to help drive change in terms of helping the organization be more effective and able to prioritize work in a better fashion. PM needs to be able to help the work stay on target, but also take a step back and do a lot more of the overarching programmatic view of assessing all the deliverables and KPIs and determining a strategic path forward (determining the priorities, articulate when something can reasonably be done or hit benchmarks and then adjust timelines accordingly.
