What’s the position?

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and manage software development projects focused on platform scaling, refactoring, and optimization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of software development processes, project management methodologies, and technical expertise to effectively collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of complex, high-impact projects that enhance our platform’s performance, scalability, and architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple, high-complexity software development projects, ensuring they meet timeline, scope, and quality standards.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.

• Collaborate with engineering teams on technical discussions around architecture, refactoring strategies, and platform scalability to provide effective project oversight.

• Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively.

• Track project progress, identify and address roadblocks, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

• Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure and operations processes.

• Foster a collaborative and results-oriented project team environment.

• Contribute to and collate input from cross-functional teams to build, maintain, and manage a comprehensive technical roadmap that aligns with both short- and long-term strategic goals.

• Provide clear and timely updates to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including regular status reports, roadmaps, and metrics on project progress.

• Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in managing complex software development projects, particularly in areas of refactoring, platform scalability, or performance optimization.
• Strong technical acumen with a solid understanding of software architecture, data structures, and system scalability. Prior hands-on development experience is a plus.
• Effective negotiation skills to ensure that project-related work is prioritized and integrated into the product roadmap in a product-led company.
• Experience with leading and managing cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Kanban).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable plans for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Monday).
• Ability to influence and drive decisions in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on business goals and engineering excellence.
