They also support utilities in optimizing their interactions with the electricity market and the efficient dispatching of their generation assets.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager to spearhead the strategic development of the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) client base in Australia. This role will focus on Demand Response and Frequency Control Ancillary Services (FCAS) while maintaining and nurturing ongoing relationships with key client contacts after market entry.
Our client is offering a full-time permanent position within a fast-growing international company with a clear growth plan. Offering a great amount of Autonomy for an experienced Sales Manager to work and develop their pool of clients. With further opportunities for onsite exposure to some of Australia’s largest renewable energy projects. With our clients offices based in both Sydney and in Melbourne this role can be worked remotely with occasional trips covered by our client to meet with the in-house team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities within the C&I sector for Demand Response and FCAS services.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers at client organizations, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and engagement.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges within the industry.
- Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the C&I market.
- Technical Expertise: Act as a technical resource for clients, explaining the benefits and functionalities of the technologies and services offered.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in technical sales, ideally within the energy, utilities, or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of Demand Response, FCAS, and the electricity market in Australia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building relationships and influencing stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of electrical engineering procedures and processes to be able to understand or comprehend on site electrical diagrams.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to identify opportunities for growth.
- Relevant degree or qualification in engineering, business, or a related field is preferred.
