Job Title: Technical SEO & Web Developer

Job Overview:

As a Technical SEO Specialist with developer skills, you will be responsible for optimizing our WooCommerce websites technical aspects to improve search engine rankings, organic traffic, and site speed. This role requires a blend of SEO knowledge and web development expertise, focusing on implementing advanced SEO strategies, troubleshooting technical issues, and enhancing website performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical SEO Implementation:

• Perform comprehensive SEO audits of the WooCommerce site, identifying and fixing technical issues related to site architecture, crawlability, indexation, and more.
• Optimize website speed and performance, including image optimization, lazy loading, and code minification.
• Implement structured data markup (Schema) to enhance search visibility and support rich snippets.

• WooCommerce & Website Optimization:

• Work closely with the development team to implement on-page SEO optimizations such as meta tags, headers, alt texts, and internal linking strategies.
• Optimize WooCommerce product pages for SEO, focusing on product schema, canonical URLs, and clean URLs.
• Develop, test, and implement SEO plugins and tools to streamline website optimization processes.

• Website Development & Maintenance:

• Use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP to make custom modifications to the WooCommerce theme for enhanced SEO performance.
• Regularly update and maintain WooCommerce plugins and themes to ensure website security and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, such as broken links, server errors, and crawl errors, to maintain a healthy site architecture.

• Monitoring & Reporting:

• Monitor website performance using tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and other SEO software to identify areas for improvement.
• Generate detailed reports on website health, SEO performance, and recommendations for technical enhancements.

• Collaboration:

• Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to align SEO strategies with overall digital marketing campaigns.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and WooCommerce developments to ensure best practices are implemented.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in technical SEO, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and familiarity with WordPress/WooCommerce development.
• Experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and on-page/off-page optimization techniques.
• Experience in website speed optimization, including image compression, lazy loading, and code minification.
• Familiarity with schema markup and structured data implementation.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical website issues.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with WooCommerce-specific plugins and tools.
• Knowledge of server-side SEO considerations, including SSL, server response codes, and redirects.
• Understanding of Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and other tracking/monitoring tools.
• Basic understanding of UX/UI principles for enhancing website user experience.
