Technical Service Engineer (Remote)

BioSystems designs, develops, manufactures, and markets analytical solutions, devising both reagent tests and analytical instrumentation for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) laboratories as well as for industrial purposes. Our aim is to improve health and well-being around the world.

To achieve this, we develop solutions, based on the One Health concept, for Clinical analysis, Veterinary analysis, Food & Beverage analysis, Environmental analysis and Bioprocess analysis.

We are looking for a Technical Service Engineer to join our team responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment used in medical analysis. You will ensure the proper functioning, preventive and corrective maintenance of scientific and medical equipment used in our laboratories, guaranteeing the quality of analyses and compliance with health and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of medical laboratory equipment (analysers, microscopes, automation systems, etc.).
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues with laboratory devices within required timeframes.
• Plan and coordinate on-site maintenance interventions in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
• Ensure equipment compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
• Keep technical documentation of equipment up to date and manage records of completed interventions.
• Train and support laboratory equipment users on proper maintenance and usage practices.
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure device performance and reliability.
• Participate in the acquisition and installation projects for new equipment in collaboration with technical and medical teams.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in medical equipment maintenance, electromechanics, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in the maintenance of medical or laboratory equipment.
• Strong knowledge of equipment used in medical analysis laboratories (e.g., biochemical analysers).
• Technical skills in electronics, mechanics, IT, and maintenance management software.
• Autonomy, thoroughness, and team spirit.
• Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
