Technical Sales Manager (Europe)

Our client is a leading Electronic Engineering provider of service solutions to the power conversion industry, its comprehensive range of services include repair and refurbishment, training, technical support and parts management, all of which extend the life and increase productivity of customers’ assets that generate, store and distribute green electricity.

As part of European expansion plans, our client has identified the need to hire a Technical Sales Manager. It is expected that this position will be fully remote. Periodic trips to Irish HQ will be expected from time to time.

Position: Technical Sales Manager

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Germany (fully remote)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Analysis of the Business Environment with particular focus on the Renewable energy Sector to identify new customers
  • Create and manage a portfolio of client accounts; monitoring the ongoing activities and customer experience related to them
  • Develop a Technical / Product Knowledge around the key technologies and applications in the Renewable Energy space
  • Build Prioritise and manage the pipeline of prospects according to their potential, ensuring strategic and commercial fit with the company’s needs
  • Analyse and create innovative solutions and propositions that deliver tangible business benefits to customers
  • Develop effective Sales proposals and presentations utilising a range of communications tools and techniques
  • Develop effective Public relations and Marketing activities related to the Energy Business

Experience

  • Professional Background in a Technical sales role in a B2B environment
  • Strong understanding of the renewables market with experience in a Power Electronics background
  • Desirable – 3rd level / University Qualification in Electronic / Electrical Engineering

Desired Skillsets

  • Proficient in the following languages: English and German, French would be an additional advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a capability to build and forge customer relationships
  • Consultative approach to solving commercial problems and building business
  • Proficient in the use of good questioning and listening techniques.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, ensuring effective time management, prioritisation and strategic alignment of activities.
