To support our continued growth, we are expanding our field sales team with the appointment of a Territory Sales Manager for Victoria.
With Head Office in Brisbane and a nationwide operational footprint, this role reports into the HQ based National Sales & Marketing Manager and is further supported by direct access to the Director’s, Management Team, Customer Service & Sales Coordinators.
Qualifications & experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in account management and business development focusing on selling to customers within the meat, dairy and/or agriculture industries with proven track record of delivering results.
- Experience with food & food processing packaging/or adjacent products including an understanding of where products and solutions fit within these markets is highly desirable as is your network within these channels.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong track record of establishing and maintaining multi-point, multi-level contacts with customers.
- Genuine accomplishments in both new business development and account management and the ability to articulate your style and approach succinctly.
- A deep understanding of complex sales cycles and the ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments is essential. Experience in food technical/solution selling is advantageous.
- Strategic and collaborative approach that drives commitment to customer experience and service excellence.
- Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and skilled in Microsoft and CRM/sales tools.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Customer Satisfaction & Service: Provide an all-round excellent customer experience through regular contact with clients, strong follow through on requests and commitments, and working closely with inter-company departments to enable win-win outcomes for all parties.
- Key Account Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of strategies, initiatives and delivery of KPI’s.
- New Business Development: Explore and develop new business opportunities, including vertical markets and new untapped strategic channels.
- Value Add & Continuous Improvement: Undertake site inventory audits, implement product trials and facilitate/coordinate new product transitions.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute effective call plans to maximise your field presence.
- Reporting: Frequent accurate & timely CRM management and reporting.
- Travel: You will be required to travel frequently within the assigned territory and inter-state on occasions when required.
- Position: This position is a remote role and requires a home office set-up when not in the field visiting customers.
