Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and highly experienced Test Manager to take a leading role in a critical initiative within a prominent Federal Government department. This project focuses on delivering a contemporary, digital, and data-driven solution that streamlines and automates the alignment of payments and contributions, ensuring a smooth experience for both employers and employees.
The project is delivered using the SAFe Agile methodology, requiring close collaboration across multiple teams within the department to ensure smooth integration and successful outcomes. As the Test Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the testing strategy, ensuring the quality, security, and integrity of all solutions. Your leadership will guide the testing activities, drive continuous process improvements, and ensure compliance with industry standards. You will also play a key role in risk management and the implementation of best practices in testing.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee testing policies, ensuring comprehensive and secure testing processes are in place.
- Take ownership of all testing activities within development and integration projects, managing risks and implementing preventative actions.
- Evaluate and recommend testing process improvements, including automation.
- Provide guidance on testing standards for all project phases, ensuring compliance from all parties involved.
- Lead and manage client relationships related to all testing aspects.
- Collaborate within an Agile environment, driving quality throughout the program lifecycle.
To be successful, you will have:
- Proven experience leading and managing testing activities within large-scale, complex projects, ideally in a government or highly regulated environment.
- In-depth understanding of software testing processes, including manual and automated testing, and a strong commitment to ensuring quality and security across all stages of delivery.
- Experience working within the SAFe Agile framework, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, with a track record of managing teams, driving improvements, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with testing, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions within deadlines.
- A proactive approach to identifying process inefficiencies and driving improvements in testing practices to enhance overall project outcomes.
- A relevant degree or certification in IT, computer science, or a related field is highly desirable, along with certifications in testing methodologies or Agile practices (e.g., ISTQB, SAFe).
