Role Summary
This is an important and busy role within our Design Team.
The position manages the design, and product development process for Neckwear, Jewellery, Winter Accessories, Bags including all packaging and QC Management within the categories specified.
This role will cover all aspects of product creation from initial brief through costing, purchase order and spec creation, sampling, packaging creation, QC and range document / online processes.

You will be truly competent – Actively utilising and referencing past learnings to predict outcomes and to avoid issues.
You outlook should be practical and commercial. Where can you use existing developments and reengineer and where do you need to develop from scratch?
Most importantly you must possess a positive and energetic can-do attitude to harness this busy role.
What technical skills and experience are required / advantageous?
- Experience/Product Knowledge within the accessories and haberdashery fields is a prerequisite.
- A proficiency utilising the Adobe Creative & Office Suite is a prerequisite. (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a prerequisite.
- The ability to interpret a creative brief is a prerequisite.
- A Product Design qualification is a prerequisite.
- A Graphic Design would be highly advantageous.
- Packaging experience would be highly advantageous.
Key Role Objectives
- Actively participate in customer meetings and briefings
Attend and contribute within necessary customer meetings. Assist with showroom set ups and executions.
Oversee the ongoing development and evolution of category growth and business expectations.
- Design and Develop products meeting all briefing requirements.
From a brief and/or Spec/Tech pack develop commercial product within cost structure that is fit for purpose and aesthetically accurate.
Using approved ethically compliant factories responsibly and accurately create Factory Specification forms and artworks including commercial labelling and packaging.
- Costing & Critical Path timeline management – Understand and implement.
Navigate and negotiate costing challenges and timelines -Ensure Ransal margins and contribution targets are met.
- Packaging compliance and management
Referencing and following customer guidelines/ manuals/online portals to ensure full packaging accuracy and packing compliance.
- QC compliance and management
Referencing and following customer guidelines/ manuals/online portals to ensure internal/customer QC and testing requirements are followed and ensure are complied with.
- Product Content and Range Documents
Create Range Pages and Online Copy as required.
