Job Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Therapist in our LGBTQIA Call Center, where you will provide vital support to individuals reaching out to our suicide hotline. Your expertise in crisis intervention and assessment will be essential in recommending appropriate services to those in need, all while working remotely to make a difference from the comfort of your home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promptly and professionally answer all hotline calls, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively assess the clinical needs of callers, providing safe and impactful interventions.
  • Complete thorough clinical documentation, contributing to data collection and reporting for funders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients while maintaining a positive, flexible approach.
  • Monitor callers on a 72-Hour Suicide Watch and conduct safety follow-ups as required.
  • Be available to extend your shift in crisis situations or when paperwork is pending.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions, which may include evenings and nights.
  • Assist in the training of new staff under the direction of the hotline clinical coordinator.
  • Utilize downtime to complete necessary tasks that enhance the Crisis department or agency.
  • Participate in in-person meetings and agency events as requested.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the behavioral health sector.
  • Previous crisis intervention experience is preferred.
  • Supervisory and program development experience is advantageous.
