Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and independent Tracking Specialist to lead our tracking and analytics efforts. As a solo operator in this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of tracking implementation, management, troubleshooting, and reporting. Advanced expertise in GA4, Google Ads Native Tracking, Google Tag Manager (GTM), and custom reporting and analysis is essential.

This is a remote position based in the Philippines, supporting our Melbourne headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

Tracking Implementation & Management:

  • Act as the sole expert in implementing and managing GA4 tracking setups for web and app properties.
  • Configure and maintain Google Ads Native Tracking, including conversion actions and audience segmentation.
  • Develop and manage complex GTM setups, including server-side tagging where necessary.
  • Own the end-to-end implementation and testing of tracking tags, triggers, and variables.

Custom Reports & Insights:

  • Create and maintain GA4 custom reports, dashboards, and insights tailored to client needs.
  • Analyse collected data to identify trends, opportunities, and optimisation strategies.
  • Deliver actionable insights to improve campaign performance, website usability, and ROI.

Data Integrity & Troubleshooting:

  • Conduct regular audits of tracking setups to ensure data accuracy and compliance with client goals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve tracking issues independently across platforms.
  • Collaborate with developers and internal teams to fix advanced tracking-related issues, including debugging and integration.

Collaboration & Strategy:

  • Work directly with performance marketing, SEO, and development teams to define tracking objectives and ensure alignment.
  • Provide expert recommendations for tracking enhancements and advanced analytics configurations.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices, ensuring Conversion Digital remains at the forefront of tracking technology.

Project Ownership:

  • Take full ownership of tracking and analytics projects from planning to execution and reporting.
  • Establish best practices and processes for tracking and data collection.
  • Ensure seamless integration of tracking systems with marketing tools and platforms.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Advanced expertise in GA4 setup, configuration, and reporting.
  • Proven experience with Google Ads Native Tracking, including enhanced conversions and event tracking.
  • Proficiency with Google Tag Manager (GTM), including server-side tagging.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and tag management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop custom reports, dashboards, and insights in GA4 and Google Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio).
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong understanding of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on tracking.

Preferred:

  • Experience with API integrations for advanced tracking and reporting.
  • Familiarity with additional tracking tools like Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, and Hotjar.
  • Certification in Google Analytics, Google Ads, or GTM.
  • Experience in e-commerce tracking setups, including enhanced e-commerce.
