About the Role:

The Trade Lane Developer will manage and optimize trade lanes, develop new routes, analyze market trends, negotiate contracts, and ensure efficient transportation solutions. Explore and develop new partners/agents in Chile to offer our logistics services.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for seeking new sales opportunities through lead entry, prospecting, and Networking events.
  • Receiving calls and e-mails and providing customers with information on services and pricing.
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements.
  • Seeking route options, suppliers, freight requirements, and other relevant information to find the most cost-effective solutions for customers and prospects.
  • Negotiating freight costs with carriers, truckers, and any other vendor.
  • Maintain good relationships with all vendors.
  • Prepare quotes for customer shipments; clarify questions and follow through with the closing of the deal; organize requests for quotes and internal orders, prioritizing and executing them within their respective deadlines.
  • Focus on data and KPI to make the best and most assertive decision.
  • Participate in strategic meetings and decisions to see department growth.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent,
  • Four to six years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Solid knowledge of the freight forwarding industry.
  • Exceptional customer service during the work all time.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills;
  • Able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Proven leadership and business acumen skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate subordinates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
