Transmission Planning Engineer (Remote)

Job Description

Currently sourcing for Transmission Planning/Interconnection Study Engineers in the United States. Qualified candidates should have at least 4 years of experience in the industry working within software packages such as PSS/E or Powerworld. Applicants will serve as SMEs for generator interconnection-related studies and conduct analyses related to load flow, transient stability, and short circuit.

Specific Duties:

• Perform power system impact studies including load flow, short
• circuit, and dynamic stability analysis.
• Prepare reports, letters, one-line diagrams and transmission maps.
• Process, generate and maintain data as required for other
• engineering related studies.
• Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned
• while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.
• Identify training needs and present to the Engineering Manager.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Transmission Planning
• 2+ years of PSS/E or Powerworld experience
• 2+ years of interconnection studies experience
• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in power systems
• Experience with PSS/E and Powerworld

Work Enviroment:

This is a Remote role, 40/h per week
