Uav Project Manager Sensing Specialist Wfh (Remote)

We are in search of an experienced UAV Remote Sensing Project Manager to become an integral part of our forward-thinking team, operating remotely. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of UAV projects.
• Manage the scheduling and performance metrics of multiple UAV projects and team members.
• Define project scope and engage in contract discussions.
• Create and oversee project budgets, implementing corrective measures as required.
• Guide the team in establishing database and schema standards for UAV services.
• Oversee UAV flight requests, pilot assignments, and data acquisition processes including Mapping, Photography, Video, LiDAR, and QA/QC of outputs.
• Maintain and manage UAV flight and processing software, fostering relationships with partners such as SkySkopes, DroneDeploy, and Pix4D.
• Participate in business development initiatives, including responding to RFPs, delivering presentations, and crafting proposals.
• Organize project tasks and supervise UAV technicians and other specialists.
• Analyze data from remote sensing platforms to extract actionable insights.
• Assist in the design and development of remote sensing applications aligned with project objectives.

Required Skills

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and associated application extensions.
• Knowledge of data management within Relational Database Management Systems.
• Familiarity with data analytics, advanced visualization techniques, and Big Data concepts.
• Experience with web-based GIS services and mapping tools.
• Valid Remote Pilot Certification.
• Preferred: Remote Sensing Certification.
• A valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Computer Science, GIS, or a related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
• At least 8 years of pertinent GIS and/or UAV experience.
