Witzer is a revolutionary payment platform initially focused on the construction industry, with ambitions to move into other markets as we expand. With secured funding and aggressive growth plans to be delivered nationwide and a long-term view to go international, we are looking for a UI UX Designer to lead the constant evolution of our platform.
As a UI UX Designer at Witzer, reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the refresh of our website and app, focusing on ensuring both functionality and aesthetics are market leading. Working closely with our developers and internal team on new features and functions of Witzer, this role will be at the forefront of Witzer’s growth and success.
The ideal candidate will have experience and training in UI UX design, and a team and growth mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a leading role in shaping the Witzer app and website in line with organisational brand
- Work closely with the developers on the ongoing delivery of new app features and products, ensuring excellence in functionality and creative
- Support the wider team on promotions and marketing to drive user engagement, including eDM’s
- Support and collaborate on the utilisation of market and user research to drive platform growth and development
- Play a senior role in the brand, guiding other creative team members in the business on the overall look and feel of Witzer
Experience & Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience with user-centred design principles and practices, web/mobile standards, typography, colour, web/mobile usability standards and IA.
- Knowledge in creating wireframes, user workflows, and low and high-fidelity prototypes and validating design ideas with usability testing.
- Bachelor of Arts or Design in a relevant field (e.g. interactive design, new media, usability, etc), or equivalent experience.
- Software essentials: Figma, Sketch, JIRA, Confluence, Adobe Creative Suite, User Testing & Research tools (e.g. Maze, User Testing, Optimal, Dovetail etc)
- HTML/CSS ability
Desired but not required
- A portfolio of UI design that showcases your creativity and understanding of design principles and best practices.
- Previous experience being part of a team or managing market & user research
