Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Non-QM Scenario Desk Underwriter to be a vital part of our Production Support team. In this pivotal role, you will play an essential part in delivering exceptional support to TPO, NDC, and Retail Loan Officers, Account Executives, and Brokers. Your underwriting expertise will facilitate innovative solutions and superior service to our partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Address inquiries regarding Non-QM program guidelines, requirements, and loan scenarios via email, online, and phone support promptly.
• Process Bank Statement Analysis requests from sales partners across Wholesale, NDC, and Retail divisions with a focus on timely execution.
• Communicate analysis results transparently to stakeholders, adhering to departmental standards.
• Collaborate with Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partners for the delivery and completion of Bank Statement Analyses.
• Execute Quality Control assessments on Bank Statement Analysis outputs produced by BPO partners.
• Utilize your strong underwriting knowledge to document and resolve loan conditions efficiently.
• Examine intricate personal and business tax returns to determine qualifying monthly income.
• Aid sales partners in structuring complex loan scenarios effectively.
• Maintain awareness of mortgage loan origination activities, loan programs, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure proficiency in using the TPO and NDC Portal to assist production partners with document submission and access challenges.
• Organize and preserve completed Bank Statement Analyses and Scenario Grades efficiently.
• Engage in daily collaboration with both the Mortgage Sales Team and Operations staff from Retail and TPO sectors.
• Evaluate condominium projects to ascertain eligibility based on program specifications.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Recommended experience in Mortgage Wholesale/Non-QM Underwriting.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with Encompass Software is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of Underwriting experience (either UW or secondary) is required.
