The role is responsible for handling day-to-day technical operations like remote administration, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting for Microsoft Teams users and devices within the environments of our customers.
This person will perform support activities based on Knowledge base articles and Standard Operating Procedures.
The ideal candidate for this role can triage issues, pinpoint areas of concentration and strategize on how to approach them for best results. They are a team player possessing strong analytical as well as technical skills and are able to communicate the logic behind technical decisions to non-tech stakeholders. They must be comfortable working in an agile environment and must be able to take complex ideas and situations and break them into smaller components.
They will have excellent organizational and communication skills and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, identify problems and develop solutions. They must have strong analytical capabilities to manage varying levels of complexity with a process improvement mentality.
This role operates under 24×5 rotating shifts schedule with 8 hours shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure correct implementation, configuration, use and maintenance of in-scope technologies and environments related to Microsoft Teams and other legacy voice systems (Ex. Cisco Call Manager)
- Keep the knowledge base (KB) articles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) up to date
- Monitor videoconferencing meeting rooms functionality via remote monitoring and initiate actions to address flags and alerts and monitor till room is back online and functional.
- In collaboration with local field engineers, ensure videoconference room equipment (legacy and to-be) is operational and proactively check the correct and consistent setup of conference room equipment for the easy and reliable usage during meetings and conferences.
- Perform a good triage of incidents and escalate complex cases to 3 rd Level Engineers.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum 1+ years of enterprise-level working experience within a relevant IT field.
- Availability to work on 24/5 rotational shifts.
- Full working proficiency in English.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree; may accept an associate depending on resume experience. BS- Mechanical/Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems/Information Technology, BS – Computer Systems Engineering, Network Engineering/Database Administration.
- Active Directory administration, DNS administration, DHCP.
- Hands-on experience administering, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Teams users and devices (rooms, phones, etc.).
- Networking basics: Understanding of DNS, routing resolution, critical thinking and troubleshooting.
- Scripting experience leveraging PowerShell and/or other programming languages.
- Experience working with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes i.e., Incident Management, Request Management, Change Management, etc.
- Experience working in ITSM platforms i.e., ServiceNOW, Microfocus, Remedy, etc.
- ITIL Foundations certification is a plus.
- Technical Certification are a plus.
