Job Roles and Responsibilities:

Review and analyze the mortgage loan application to ensure eligibility, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines to minimize risk factors.
Working on Government Retail loans (FHA, conventional and VA loans) of Refinance and Purchase closing transactions.
Review all required loan data, reports, and inspections to ensure the collateral is acceptable to investor and the company.
Completes all required paperwork and forms in a timely and accurate manner; prepares required forms.
Work with staff and management to find solutions on escalated loans.
May be requested to make recommendations for improving Internal Audits policies and practices.
Manage loans by using all functions of Encompass.
Maintain a high level of customer service and communication with other departments.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

Knowledge of Loan Origination Cycle- Loan Application, Origination, Due Diligence, Pre-Purchase Review or Underwriting process
Knowledge of different types of mortgages and its functioning and ability to read various documents involved in Closing, Funding and Underwriting
Good communication skills (Written and Verbal) are required to understand and communicate with the vendors/clients
Strong Customer Service Skills, Detail Oriented with good analytical skills and have the ability to make decisions based on the situation
Good email etiquette and listening skills
Ability to analyze the numbers and reconcile the data if required as per the clients Requirements.
Experience with reporting and analysis
Ability to handle and accomplish multiple tasks and resolve it and must be a team player
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Should be able to effectively use a computer

Responsible for making independent decisions regarding acceptance and risk of loans according to HUD, company, and investor guidelines.
Provides final approval underwriting of mortgage loans.
Completes all required paperwork and forms in a timely and accurate manner; prepares required forms.
Sign off conditions in a timely manner set by management.
Work with staff and management to find solutions on escalated loans.
May be requested to make recommendations for improving Internal Audits policies and practices.
Manage loans by using all functions of Encompass.
Effectively communicate underwriting decisions with processors and advisors
Maintain a high level of customer service and communication with other departments.
Other duties as assigned.
