The Position
We are looking for an impactful UX Design Lead to join our Product team. In this role, you’ll help us create solutions that assist our customers in moving towards ‘net zero’ through smarter and cleaner renewable energy systems. You’ll collaborate with Product Manager Leads and Engineering managers, and lead a growing team of UX Designers in delivering meaningful outcomes.
As a UX Design Lead, you’ll inspire, guide, and empower your team to maximize their impact as UX Designers. Furthermore, you will focus on three key areas: Developing and driving a UX vision as part of the product strategy, discovering and translating the user needs into product opportunities, and designing the delivery process. This means that you will play a crucial role in shaping our product direction, while advocating and scaling UX Design at Sympower.

What you will do
People
Mentor, coach and lead UX Designers across the different domains
Attract and retain talented team members who align with our values and the needs of our business
Advocate for and protect the well-being of our UX Designers
Strategy
Define and evangelize the UX Vision and Strategy to maximize its impact
Support the Head of Product in defining the company product strategy
Translate product vision and strategy into inspiring concept designs and user journeys together with you team
Processes
Enhance our product development process with UX techniques throughout
Work closely with Product, Engineering, and other managers to set the relevant processes for a constructive and effective collaboration
Elevate the research literacy of the team and broader organization, fostering a culture of evidence-driven decision-making
Execution
Assist UX Designers during the product development process from beginning to end
Support your UX Designers in prioritizing their design work, leveraging research and data analysis
Set goals, define success metrics and motivate your team to achieve them
Align stakeholders on cross-departmental initiatives around product outcomes
What you will need
7 years’ experience as a UX Designer with minimum 3 years of people management
Proven ability to go deep and quickly learn new domains, as well as solid understanding of all major parts of the business
Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery (agile methodology)
Proven experience with managing UX Design process of complex software products
Experience in people management, coaching and developing other people.
Excel in and able to, mentor others in stakeholder management
Demonstrate proactive contribution to the development of a product team culture
This is a full-time position remote/hybrid located in -1/+1 to central European timezone.
