UX Lead

Location: Based from office in Bucharest Romania. Travel to the UAE HQ will be required.

We are looking for a strategic and visionary User Experience (UX) Lead to drive the transformation of a financial services website. In this role, you will not only shape the user experience but also play a key role in advancing our business objectives by creating an intuitive, engaging, and accessible digital platform that aligns with the needs of our customers and the goals of the organization. Your leadership will guide the design process from vision to execution, ensuring that the user journey is seamless, compliant, and impactful across all touchpoints. This is an opportunity to directly influence the success of our digital products and enhance customer satisfaction within a complex, highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the overall UX strategy to ensure that design decisions are aligned with broader business goals, including enhancing customer retention, improving conversion rates, and differentiating our brand in the competitive financial services market.
• Lead the exploration of user needs, behaviors, and pain points through research and data analysis. Use these insights to identify opportunities for innovation that improve the customer experience, ultimately driving business growth and customer loyalty.
• Oversee the design of a seamless and intuitive user journey, optimizing site architecture, navigation, and content delivery to ensure users can easily achieve their goals while supporting business KPIs like engagement and conversion.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Development, and CX teams to ensure that UX design is integrated into the larger product ecosystem. Influence decision-making across teams to ensure a unified approach to digital experiences that support both business objectives and user needs.
• Implement a rigorous testing and iteration process that is grounded in data-driven insights. Continuously refine and enhance user interfaces based on feedback, analytics, and performance metrics, ensuring a measurable impact on key business outcomes.
• Ensure all digital experiences meet accessibility standards (WCAG) and comply with industry regulations, particularly in areas related to security and privacy within the financial services industry, to minimize risk and enhance customer trust.
• Act as a key stakeholder in aligning business leaders and product teams with the UX vision, ensuring clear communication of UX goals, design rationale, and progress. Your ability to advocate for the value of user-centered design will help drive organizational buy-in and establish UX as a key lever for business success.
• Foster a culture of user-centered design within the organization, advocating for design solutions that align with both customer needs and business goals. Be a thought leader, sharing best practices and emerging trends in UX design to enhance the organization’s overall digital maturity.

Requirements

• 5+ years of UX design experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Prior experience in the financial services industry is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in UX design tools such as Figma, Hotjar, Adobe XD, or similar. Familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus.
• Expertise in user research methodologies, including interviews, usability testing, and data analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• A compelling portfolio demonstrating a strong track record in leading complex digital product design, with examples of user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills with a proven ability to build consensus across diverse stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration.
